Employment Readiness Program

A multi-faced program created to service and assist Visible Minority and Immigrant women who are or have faced multiple barriers attaining and retaining employment. The ultimate goal of the ERP is to see all participants attain the skills, experience and confidence required to achieve their employment goals, become productive in the workforce and excel in their chosen field.

• Life Skills Training
• Esteem Building
• Referral Servicing (ESL, LINC, Medical Associations, etc.)
• Employment Counseling/Training (Job Development)
• Degree/Certificate Accreditation Resourcing (Foreign Trained)
• Educational Assessment
• Fashion Consulting
• Etiquette and Presentation Training
• Job shadowing/Volunteer Experience

Eligible participants must be ONTARIO WORKS recipients. The mandate of WEST specifies that all clients must participate in our orientation session to acquaint them with our processes and facilities. All other interested parties are encouraged to call our office in order to be referred to another of our many services.

The ERP has an on-going enrollment and our ERP counselor is available Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.  Call 256-6621 for an appointment.
