WEST/LINC - Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada

Full-time and Part-time English classes with child minding and bus tickets.  Must be LINC eligible, call us for registration and assessment details.

The objective of the WEST/LINC is to provide language training, which will facilitate the social, cultural and economic integration of newcomers into Canadian society. LINC programs are free of charge.

Each twelve week course offers:

• Intensive language instruction in conversation, grammar and pronunciation
• Language training in our state-of-the-art language lab
• Computer training in popular software: MS Office etc.
• Community Integration Information- Multicultural Awareness, Human Rights, Employer / Employee Rights, Community Resource Information.

To register for our LINC classes you must be a Landed Immigrant, Convention Refugee or possess a Ministers Permit.  Also, a CLBA assessment is required.  This can be obtained by calling the English Testing Center at (519)253-2724.  The English Testing Center is located at 1410 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, ON.

The LINC programs are scheduled Mornings and Afternoons in 4 levels:

Beginning English

WEST/LINC 1/2          Monday through Friday 9:00am to 12:00pm   and  12:45pm to 2:45pm

Intermediate English

WEST/LINC 3            Monday through Friday 9:00am to 12:00pm  and  12:45pm to 2:45pm'

Advanced English

WEST/LINC 4&5        Monday through Friday 9:00am to 12:00pm  and  12:45pm to 2:45pm
