International Women's Day - March 8, 2009
Journey Towards Success
Building Tomorrow's Leaders, Today!
It is that amazing time of year again where Women's Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. will celebrate its devotion to the community and success by recognizing the achievements, dedication, hard work, and innovation of its participants and community partners.
Our celebration coincides with International Women's Day, and the proceeds will support our annual fundraising efforts benefiting WEST programs.
The event will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts, 201 Riverside Drive West, Windsor, Ontario. Tickets are $50 each, tables of 8, doors open 4:00 pm.
International Women's Day 2009 will feature Internationally Trained Women who succeeded in overcoming all the barriers to become productive citizens in their field of expertise and give back to the Canadian society.
The goal of this event is to illustrate what integration involves for Internationally Trained Women and to show that success is attainable.
After few unsuccessful attempts some give up on their professions and end up in survival jobs for the rest of their working life, which is a huge lost of skills to the community. We want to send a clear message that success is not impossible but requires little effort, and faith in ones own abilities.
We are seeking your assistance to support our event by purchasing a table to attend our event and to:
For over 20 years WEST, a registered Canadian Charitable community-based organization has provided training to visible minority and immigrant women who are trying to champion their situational barriers to reach their employment goals in Windsor-Essex County.
This annual International Women's Day event has become a community celebration attended by over 300 people who support diversity in the workforce and our mission.
Please note that all contributions are tax deductible and WEST is able to issue charitable donation tax receipts as allowed by Canada Revenue Agency.
Your donations will positively impact WEST and the women in the community that it serves.
