ES is a provincially funded program, under the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU). ES offers a wide range of resources, supports and service components to respond to the career and employment needs of individuals and the skilled labour needs of employers, and can help individuals on a path to higher skills training and employment. The components of the Employment Service program are flexible and can be customized to meet the particular needs of clients.

Individualized needs assessment and employment counselling Resource and Information workshops Career exploration and job search assistance and training Work placements with or without financial incentives, on-the-job training and employment support Resume/ cover letter building and job interview preparation Second Career Access to computers, Internet and telephones

EMPLOYMENT SERVICE PROCESS

ORIENTATION Each client interested in WEST Services is required to attend an Orientation Session. Clients must call WEST and pre-register for one of the following weekly sessions:

Wednesday 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm OR Thursday 9:30 am - 11:30 am

SUITABILITY Following the orientation session, each client will meet an Intake Worker who will conduct a Suitability Criteria Assessment in order to determine eligibility for Assisted or Unassisted Service. To view the Employment Service press release, please click here .
