, Youth Skills Connection program, WEST partnered with St. Clair College and Drive Logistics to offer training to women between the age of 19 - 29 years old in transportation, logistics and supply chain management. The program trains young women for careers in inventory, warehousing, and material movement, and transportation operations. This 15-week program is offered from Wednesday - Saturday. Courses are taught by industry experts and include: Computer Applications, Business Communication, Introduction to Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Transportation, Dispatching & Transportation Operations, Customer Relations and Interpersonal Skills in Organizations, Resume/Interview Preparation, and certification in Forklift and First Aid/CPR. This is followed by a 6-week work placement in the industry.
