WEST WORKS - a job club program

West works is a job club program that helps women with achieving their goal of finding work. This training is designed to meet needs of Ontario Works participants.
You will learn:

How to research and choose a job that is right for you.
Find out how skills learned in other countries can be useful in Canada.
Discover the skills you'll need for your next job.
Learn how to use the Internet to research and find jobs.
Get the tools you need to find your next job including: how to write resumes and cover letters, practice interview skills, make cold calls to employers.
Deal with issues that can stop you from keeping a job.

While participating in WEST WORKS job club you will have:

Internet access
    to check job-listing information updated daily
Access to the WEST WORKS telephone message center
    office telephone numbers for employment purposes
Access to workspace
    to plan and develop your job search

Sessions are held Tuesday mornings, 9:00am to 12:00pm.
